Quantum computing fever has intensified and even threatens to challenge AI on the hyperbole meter. But while AI is at least delivering, with some even suggesting it has not been hyped enough, quantum computing still flatters to deceive. It resembles nuclear fusion as a technology always some distance away, as it gobbles up ever more billions in research dollars.
