The good news for MNOs is that 60% of customers are willing to pay for direct-to-smartphone, or direct-to-device (D2D) services. Some markets are willing to pay more than others, on a relative basis. In parts of the world where terrestrial mobile services are widespread and reliable, customers expect to pay marginally more than their average payments. Elsewhere, in countries such as India and Indonesia, consumers are willing to pay as much as 9% more for full satellite services.
