There was no sign in Apple’s recent quarterly results of much loss of momentum for the consumer electronics giant. It may have been overtaken by Huawei in terms of smartphone shipments, but by focusing on the high end, Apple has kept margin dilution at bay and increased its net income. In its quarter, net sales were over $53bn with net income at $11.5bn, up from $8.7bn a year ago. Its market capitalization hit an all-time high on the news at over $985bn, just shy of a record-setting $1 trillion.
