The Transport & Environment (T&E) non-governmental organization has released a report ranking the top 77 airlines (accounting for 75% of kerosene consumption) based on their current efforts towards dropping emissions while securing a more sustainable future for the aviation industry. The report also highlights that only 8% of all publicly announced SAF (sustainable aviation fuel) deals are involving the use of a somewhat sustainable and scalable technology – eSAF. That is SAF made from green hydrogen and captured carbon as opposed to biogenic carbon which has been deemed unscalable.
