US testing company Keysight hopes to complete its takeover of the smaller UK based Spirent Group by April 2025, around a year after the initial offer was accepted in March 2024. The company has offered to divest itself of Spirent’s high-speed Ethernet and network security testing businesses, which would leave the key wireless parts intact, in line with Keysight’s ambition to consolidate its position around 5G.
