Half of Europe’s hydrogen could come from North Africa and the Ukraine, according to a new report from Hydrogen Europe which sets out a roadmap for 80 GW of electrolyser capacity by 2030. While this would have been dubbed as a pipedream a few years ago, a new surge of large-scale projects could see the hydrogen boom come years ahead of schedule – especially if investment is tied into Coronavirus stimulus packages.
