Results are in from Ireland’s first ever clean power auction, which provisionally awards 1,300 MW of capacity in total in its RESS auction. Overall, 114 projects applied and 109 were qualified to compete in the auction. Community projects also participated, reaching an average price of €104.15 per MWh. Among the 63 solar and 19 wind projects that were awarded contracts, Statkraft emerged as one of the key victors, pulling in 330 MW of orders, including the 34 MW Cloghan wind farm, the 24 MW Taghard wind farm, the 78 MW Bluteltown wind farm and the 198 MW Gallanstown solar park.
