Testing firm Rohde & Schwarz gives its view on what Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) will look like as it evolves through 5G Advanced and 6G, and the testing challenges involved. While communication and radar applications are used in the networks of today, particularly for the automotive industry, ISAC (also known as JCAS, for joint communication and sensing) is expected to be the cherry on the cake of 6G.
