Bosses of Spanish car manufacturer, Seat, have signaled that the company could abandon cars altogether as its markets transition to electric vehicles (EVs), focusing more on microcars and bikes aimed at young people in urban areas. The move comes as Seat has just one electric vehicle on the market, the Seat Mó scooter, priced at nearly £6,000, and the company has no plans for another electric model before 2026. Seat will continue to release hybrid and high-efficiency combustion engine vehicles until 2030, when it will reassess its position nearer the time.
