As SpaceX and Airtel Africa partner to bring Starlink’s satellite internet services to more customers in Africa, it is worth comparing Starlink speeds in different African countries with terrestrial connectivity options. Of course, SpaceX continues its march of global dominance. This month, the satellite company agreed to integrate its Starlink low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite technology into Airtel Africa’s service offerings in 14 countries. Currently, SpaceX has operating licenses in nine of those 14 countries and has regulatory processes underway for the other five.
