Swedish green steel company, H2 Green Steel, has signed deals with Brazilian and Canadian mining companies Vale and Rio Tinto for the supply of iron ore to be used at its green steel plant in Boden, Sweden. Both agreements will be valid for multiple years. The iron ore pellets, along with green hydrogen produced from H2 Green Steel’s electrolyzer facility, are crucial inputs for green direct reduced iron (DRI) production, enabling near-zero emissions steel manufacturing.
