Switzerland’s government has announced plans to lift the ban on the construction of new nuclear power plants, a prohibition that has been in place since January 1st, 2018. Moreover, there have been calls for the process of licensing of new nuclear to be streamlined. These two actions coupled with the geographical constraints of the Central European country led us to believe that there is room for growth of the nuclear market in the region. Currently, Switzerland relies on four nuclear reactors, which produce about one-third of its electricity.
