NIO has signed a partnership deal with solar developer Longi which will see its 4th generation swapping stations equipped with 60 square meters of solar panels each. The partnership is expected to save NIO 18 MWh of electricity per station. NIO and Longi have also signed an agreement which will see the two companies work together to promote the use of solar panels with battery swapping stations, as well as cooperation on vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technologies.
