The winning bid results for a 225 MW rooftop solar portfolio in the Chinese city of Xiangxiang, Hunan Province, have come in at between $401 and $412 per kW, with residential (homeowners only participate by giving their approval and receiving a rental fee) on the slightly more expensive end compared to C&I. The contract includes equipment supply, installation, grid connection, and handling all the relevant approval documents – the whole thing, at costs lower than ex-China utility-scale development.
