President Trump’s entry into mobile services with his sons coincided with a public attack on AT&T that has to go down as fake news – apparently prompted by a failed conference call over that telco’s network. Although very much a one-off, the incident touched on the wider question of the relationship between MNOs and the OTT services that ride over them.
