The Biden Administration has banned Russian imports of low-enriched uranium (LEU) and is now pushing forward a large sum of money looking for proposals to acquire LEU in an attempt to set up a domestic supply chain and achieve energy independence within the nuclear sector. This initiative is part of President Joe Biden’s Investing in America agenda, which has allocated $2.7 billion to strengthen the domestic nuclear fuel supply chain.
