Verizon has confirmed that it plans to launch a national OTT service for mobile platforms. Its CEO, Lowell McAdam, confirmed the plans and told investors Verizon is currently in talks with content providers for content for the service. We have known for almost a year that Verizon is planning to launch video service for smartphones and tablets via LTE Broadcast technology.
