Growth in Germany was at the core of Vodafone Group’s 2023 restructuring plan, but recent full-year earnings show weak performance in the country. The multinational has already done away with its units in Italy and Spain, and merged with Three in the UK – which could leave Vodafone wringing its hands as to what to do next, if the German business does not deliver. In its 2024-25 annual report, Vodafone recorded an operating loss of €411 million, compared with earnings of €3.67 billion in the previous year.
