Wi-SUN (Smart Ubiquitous Networks) has been rather an also-ran in the low power WAN field so far, but is showing signs of picking up some momentum in smart lighting and metering. Although pushed most strongly by US companies, notably Cisco and Silicon Labs, the UK has proved the happiest hunting ground so far.
