M&A & Investments Nvidia is investing $2 billion apiece in optical component vendors, Coherent and Lumentum, to grow its capabilities in network infrastructure for AI services. US communications conglomerate Ziff Davis has sold its Connectivity division to Accenture for $1.2 billion in cash. The unit includes the Ookla, Speedtest, Ekahau, Downdetector and RootMetrics brands. Ookla has been busy expanding its research activity in recent months. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has approved the $34.5 billion acquisition by Charter Communications of assets from Cox Enterprises. This includes Cox’s residential cable, commercial fiber, managed IT, and cloud businesses.
