Pegasystems plonked a rather interesting report into our mailbox, helping to counter the traditional post-CES lull. Covering the impact of AI and robotics on current working environments, some 845 senior executives were quizzed on their attitudes to the new technologies – in research carried out by Marketforce, on behalf of the customer engagement software provider. A London School of Economics study, pointed to by Pegasystems, believes that Robotic Process Automation (RPA) can yield a 30%-200% return on investment within the first year, but despite this, a further Deloitte study found that only 9% of companies had implemented such a program – although some 74% said they planned to within the next year.
