We’re not sure everyone believes that Rupert Murdoch is serious about taking his News Corporation headlong into the modern era, with the purchase and merging together of internet brands. After buying MySpace for $580 million, and IGN Entertainment for $650 million, he has failed to land a single household name from the internet, despite being reported to be in talks with a number of them, including Skype, which went to eBay. Murdoch is known to have a war chest of around $2 billion for his internet adventures.
