Nest’s CEO Tony Fadell has left the company, and while he wasn’t officially fired, shuffling him off to an advisory role in Alphabet looks like a strong vote of no confidence in Nest. It comes after a solid quarter of bad publicity for the brand, and an undercurrent of growing discontent from its Alphabet parent. Marwan Farwaz will be the new CEO, a man who has previously presided over the sale of Motorola’s Home business to Arris back in 2012.
