Cloud-managed WiFi platforms are jostling for position as enterprises wake up to the benefits of outsourced management and as-a-service pricing, as their WLANs become more and more dense, complex and mission critical. The latest contender is start-up KodaCloud, which claims the unique selling point of using artificial intelligence to make connectivity decisions and improve quality of experience for users. Like other managed WiFi providers from XCellAir to Cisco to Comcast, KodaCloud (formerly Art2Wave) takes the pain out of a large WLAN deployment by handling the roll-out of the access points and providing security, provisioning, management and optimization from the cloud.
