The ‘5G race’ between the USA’s biggest telcos is building up as both approach commercial launch of their fixed wireless access (FWA) services. There are some similarities in their tactics. Both are building advanced virtualized and software-defined platforms around their 5G radio plans, though AT&T’s has been more prominent in the industry at large.
