Aboitiz Power Corporation, one of the energy industry leaders in the Philippines, has announced plans for a swathe of renewable power projects – totalling 650 MW solar and 325 MW wind. While the company will continue to develop new coal plants in the country, this project is a significant step in the transition to renewables for a region which had less than 50 MW of wind and solar 7 years ago.
