Huawei has recently revealed additional details of a 260 MW solar project whose panels are mounted on platforms a couple meters above the waters of a lake fishery. The Dangtu Solar Project was developed by CGN New Energy next to Dalong town, Dangtu County, in China’s Anhui Province. The project comes at a cost of $183 million and covers 4 square kilometers of Shuangtang Lake, a small body of water 35 kilometers from the Yangtze River. The project fed its first power into the grid on December 22nd 2019. Construction required only 98 days beginning in September.
