The Asian Renewable Hub of up to 15 GW has received penultimate environmental approval. The Hub’s capacity and makeup will be finalised in a few months, but will be at least two-thirds wind power, the rest being solar. Its primary purpose is to power mass production of green hydrogen for domestic and export use, with some 3 GW of power going to local Pilbara region mining, and a subsea cable exporting another 3 GW or so to Jakarta and Singapore also an option.
