The governments of Europe tend to behave a certain, predictable way – in the case of France, it is happiest when it is supporting its own industries with taxpayer’s cash, something the UK has always tries not to get involved with. But then again Germany always trumps both of them, because it has more cash. In the current environment with EU State air rules suspended, you would expect to see France in particular revert to type, however.
