Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has laid down his gauntlet ahead of COP26, with a statement that his country will aim to reach carbon neutrality by 2060 at the latest. “Russia will practically seek after carbon neutrality of its economy. We set a specific orienting point here – not later than 2060,” he said, speaking at the Russian Energy Week forum.
