The saga of Malaysia’s attempt to build a 5G single wholesale network (SWN) continues, with the government rejecting proposals by the country’s four MNOs. Those proposals would have reconciled the operators to a shared 5G network plan that they have resisted since it was mooted in 2019, since they would have taken a majority stake, collectively, in the vehicle set up to run the network, Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB).
