Norway opens up 3.8 GHz midband spectrum for private 5G Norway is to offer spectrum between 3.8 GHz and 4.2 GHz for enterprise users following pilots staged during 2022 by the Norwegian Communications Authority (Nkom). The regulator is now allowing enterprises to apply for licences with bandwidths of up to 80 MHz for up to 10 years. There is no upfront licence fee mentioned, with plans to set annual fees on the basis of spectrum secured and power level of base stations deployed.
