Since the 14 GW solar installation boom of 2020, Vietnam’s grid has been clogged, many solar projects have had their output curtailed, project owners have faced debts and poor remuneration, and government plans switched emphasis to onshore and offshore wind. For over two years the sector has been left in a policy limbo, but it has not died entirely.
