Invenergy Transmission has signed a long-term supply agreement with Prysmian Group North America for 12,500 miles (20,117 kilometers) of overhead conductor cable through to 2029, for an undisclosed sum. This will be used in Invenergy’s multiple HVDC transmission developments across the US. A $22.5 million investment partly coming from Invenergy will expand Prysmian’s manufacturing capacity of advanced transmission conductor technology at an existing facility in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, with 27 jobs added and 407 retained thanks to Invenergy’s demand for the product.
