A few months ago we noted several Chinese perovskite start-ups claiming to have 100 MW pilot lines and that they would imminently produce commercial products. We noted then that the true tipping-point would have been reached once the big, established solar manufacturing giants engage in their own perovskite activities. That has now happened, with First Solar, QCells, and LONGi among those making announcements in the past few weeks.
