This Monday LONGi, the world’s biggest solar manufacturer, announced a 30% price cut to its solar wafers – it announces the price on an irregular basis with intervals of around a month. The last time its wafer price was this low – $0.55 and $0.48 per unit for M10 and M6 – was back in Q1 2021. What this means is that the solar supply chain shortage and price spike is over.
