Microquanta, the leading Chinese perovskite company, has connected its fifth perovskite solar project to the grid. The 260 kW installation is a solar-fishery project owned by Qujiang Construction Investments, built on platforms over a small lake in Quzhou, Zhejiang. Solar-fishery projects are commonplace in China, but this is the first perovskite project over a water body and in a province where air humidity is often 80% during the rainy season. Perhaps Microquanta is testing the quality of its encapsulation, which it claims is advanced, given the vulnerability of perovskites to oxygen and moisture.
