Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO), who stamped out Mexican green energy development a few years ago, will be replaced by Claudia Sheinbaum, a former climate scientist who won 60% of the vote in the election held earlier this week. But there’s a catch – AMLO and Sheinbaum are from the same party, Morena, and AMLO is only leaving office because of term limits.
