European testing and electronics firm Rohde & Schwarz has joined the AI-RAN Alliance, a group of firms researching AI-based opportunities in the RAN. As part of its research, the group is looking into the development of the ‘AI-native air interface,’ a complex process requiring extensive testing – ultimately a very profitable area for Rohde & Schwarz.
