Despite the continued bans of Chinese vendors from European networks, Ericsson says it is not seeing new growth and that competition with Chinese vendors in Europe and elsewhere is still very tough. Following late behind other European and US firms, this week German operators agreed to exclude Chinese vendors from their 5G networks. In the first phase, by the end of 2026, German telcos must remove Chinese equipment from their core networks, including data centers. Chinese antennas, transmission lines and towers will then be removed by 2029. “We are protecting the central nervous systems of Germany as a business location — and we are protecting the communication of citizens, companies and the state,” German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser told reporters…
