ClearVue Technologies, an Australia semitransparent solar glass startup, has partnered with Alu-Tec WLL, the leading glass and façade engineering company in Qatar and much of the Middle East, which will enable the supply of ClearVue products for building works across the MENA region and India. Under a five-year agreement, Alu-Tec will supply and manufacture ‘ClearVuePV Solar Vision Glass’ – a building material that doubles as a solar panel. This isn’t a ‘normal’ (still not commercialized at scale, but more intuitive) perovskite-type see-through offering – instead of the window being a photovoltaic semiconductor across its whole area, instead the glass redirects particular wavelengths to the edges of each glass panel, and that is where the redirected light is transformed into electricity…
