As the MWC dust settled, after hearing that it was skeptical of the AI-RAN opportunity, Samsung announced that it has now publicly confirmed that it is working with Nvidia to validate the improvements that can be made to the RAN using GPUs. Samsung has historically made headway into the RAN market via its vRAN offerings, which are a core part of the Open RAN offerings that have been chosen by the likes of Telus (Canada), Boost Mobile (Dish, USA), KDDI (Japan) and Vodafone (Europe).
