There were glimpses of the MNO perspective at the Small Cell World Summit, held recently in London. Given the aforementioned tension between the MNOs and the small cell providers, where the MNOs are generally reluctant to embrace the work done by these smaller providers, there is an air that indicates the tide is turning. Speaking on a panel session, Ian Newbury, Head of Product for Business, Government, and Mobile, at CityFibre (a UK altnet), highlighted the key problem. “Why are mobile networks getting worse?
