M&A & Investments Nvidia has taken a $5 billion stake in Intel, which is around a 3.6% share at the current pricing. The deal will see Nvidia use Intel x86 CPU designs in upcoming data center products that will also house Nvidia GPUs and NVLink networking systems. New consumer-facing products will focus on an integrated SoC approach, but the deal might provide hope for Intel’s NEX division, inside Nvidia’s telco strategy.
