Altice, the France-based telecoms giant, has been expanding geographically, most recently with acquisitions in the US and Portugal. Now it is expanding its service reach too, following in the footsteps of other broadband and mobile operators which are adding content and media to their portfolios, to find new ways to monetize their networks. Altice announced last week that it is to pay $322m to acquire Teads, the rapidly growing digital video advertising firm that has wowed the online and mobile publishing world.
