AppLogic Networks, the artist formerly known as Sandvine, has published its latest Internet Phenomena report. Charting both fixed and mobile traffic and applications, as well as cybersecurity risks, the report is useful context for industry decision makers. Unsurprisingly, AI chatbot usage has rocketed in the past year, but the underlying dominance of video traffic remains unchanged. In mobile, Meta’s dominance in traffic volume is striking, accounting for around 28% of total traffic. The next largest source is from Alphabet (chiefly YouTube), which is around 18%.
