All new rooftop solar installs in grid-congested areas of South Australia will be presented with a choice: either an export limit of 1.5 kW, or a flexible export arrangement which can be curtailed when the grid owner SA Power Networks sees fit. This new limit of 1.5 kW would apply mostly to the southern suburbs of Adelaide, the state capital, and is far stricter than the existing 5 kW export limit.
