In the week before MWC, Broadcom announced what it claims is the industry’s first 6G Digital Front-End SoC for Massive MIMO (mMIMO). Samples have begun shipping to early access customers and partners, but there has been no public word on pricing yet. Broadcom hopes that its designs might muscle their way into the RAN silicon market for 6G, but being four years out from the earliest mass deployment of 6G radios, a lot could change.
