The cellular broadcast standards have been slow to make significant impact on the TV world (see separate item), though they have had a boost in the live events environment. But many expect 5G and broadcasting to converge in certain markets and scenarios over time, and so the fledgling 5G-Broadcast specifications are being closely watched by many operators and video providers, with an eye on addressing a converged market opportunity.
