The UK’s leading challenger provider of fiber infrastructure, CityFibre, has extended its relationship with the country’s fourth MNO, Three UK, and will supply backhaul for an additional 1,300 mobile masts in 59 towns and cities, in a multimillion pound deal. Earlier this year, CityFibre – which also has a strategic alliance with Vodafone UK – announced that it had become a preferred provider of backhaul connectivity outside London for Three. It has already supported the roll-out of 5G at more than 100 locations but the new arrangement will more than treble its commitment.
